Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Richardson chapel for Mrs. Ellett Adkins who died in Fairbury, March 6, 1935, at the age of 49 years, 6 months and 29 days.
Jessie Ann Preston was born in Saline Co., Nebr., Aug. 8, 1886. She grew to womanhood in this section of Nebraska and was married to Ellett Adkins Mar. 25, 1895. Her married life had been spent in this city. She was the mother of six children.
Surviving are her husband, her children, Mrs. Pearl Brown of Omaha, Ellett jr., Mrs. Daisy Brown, Alfred, Mrs. Doris Carmichael and Mildred all of Fairbury, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Preston, Harrison Co., Mo., four grandchildren, two half brothers, Ed Shreffler of Park, Colo., and two sisters, Mrs. John Drake of Fairbury and Mrs. Walter Mahoney of Ontario, Wash. Mrs. Adkins parents were here for the services.
Mrs. Adkins was a member of the Christian church of this city. Rev. R. E. Deadman officiating at the services Saturday. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
