Funeral services for Ellett Adkins will be Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Traum's Chapel. Rev. A. W. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Fairbury cemetery.
Survivors include children Alfred, Ellett, Jr., and Mrs. Daisy Brown of Fairbury, Mrs. Lisbon Carmichael and Mrs. Mildred Peabody of Grand Junction Colo.

ELLET ADKINS b. 13 Jun 1881 near Hermon, Chestnut Township, Knox County, IL, d. 15 Oct 1957 at age 61, Fairbury, Jefferson County, NE; m. 25 Mar 1903 to JESSIE A. PRESTON, age 17, in Silver Creek Church, Antelope Precinct, Jefferson County, NE.

JESSIE b. 1885 Saline County, NE, d. 6 Mar 1935 at age 49. Both buried Fairbury Cemetery. (JESSIE'S parents: ASEPH R. PRESTON & EMMA J. WILSON) ELLET lived in Nebraska for the remainder of his life after moving with his parents and siblings to Jefferson County in 1894.

He worked on farms and in second-hand merchandise stores. He suffered from crippling rheumatoid arthritis.
