Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Clark and Steve Boshers officiating. Burial followed in Allen Cemetery in the Caney Springs Community of Marshall County.
Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home, Columbia, Tennessee, was in charge of arrangements.
Born January 12, 1930, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. Dillehay and the late Bonnie Louise Rieves Dillehay. She was a 1948 graduate of Columbia Central High School where she was a member of the varsity basketball team. Immediately upon graduation, Mrs. Haney began a twelve-year career with South Central Bell. As her family began to grow, she opted to focus on her home, the farm and her children. She was a devoted partner to her husband of sixty years, Tom Haney, who preceded her in death in 2011. Mrs. Haney was a member of McCain’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, two sons, one sister, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Louella Miller, Oscar Dillehay, Clint Dillehay, Laddye Dillehay, Elizabeth Hargrove; and one great grandson.
