DILWORTH, Donald L.

Donald L. Dilworth, 67, of Vernon, died Saturday (July 4, 1998) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gladys A. (Downes) Dilworth. Born in Manchester, he lived here and in Bolton for many years before moving to Vernon. He was formerly employed at Hartford Freezer and Schroll's, and was a member of Teamsters Local No. 559. Don was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, having fought in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. Besides his wife, he is survived by three chil dren and their spouses, Paul and Debra Dilworth of Manchester, Glenn and Kathleen Dilworth of Bolton, and Darlene and Peter Quirk of Manchester; eight grandchildren; and his brother, Paul Dilworth of Portland. Don was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Martha Dilworth; and his sister, Dorothy Dery. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either th e American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
