THOMAS NORWOOD CLAIMED BY DEATH

Funeral Held In Portland For Former Local Man

Funeral services were conducted in Portland Wednesday for Thomas A. Norwood, 52, brother of Mrs. W.F. Dielschneider and Mrs. E.C. Apperson of this city, who died Sunday at St. Vincent's hospital, Portland, following a brief illness. Final services were at the Portland Crematorium.

Born at Waynesboro, N.C., in 1882, he had resided on a farm near McMinnville 20 years ago. He made his home in Portland in recent years.

Surviving are his widow, E. May Norwood; two sons, Roderick and James; his mother, Mrs. Jane Norwood, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Apperson and Mrs. Dielschneider of this city, Mrs. Hugh Williamson and Mrs. Helen Arnold of Portland, Mrs. Carl Shret and James Norwood of Oakland, Cal., Mrs. J.R. Justice and Will Norwood of Seattle, and J.W. Norwood and Mrs. Homer Oulet of Salem.
