Son of Nathaniel French

Was shot along with Daniel Houghton at the Court House during the Westminister Massacre,by the hands of Cruel Ministereal tools of George the 3rd in his 22nd year of age which was the beginning of the renaming of New Yorks Colonial hold.

Here the New Hampshire Grants on January 16, 1777 declared their independence as "New Connecticut" later Vermont

The French/Houghton Monument was erected by the State of Vermont in 1873
