Born in Oakland California and loved photography and baseball in school. Found an everlasting hobby to be a long-lived career. Invented a part for the Army Airforce in WWII that was for guns on aircraft. Worked for WP railroad and retired from there. Had the largest collection of steam engine railroads (Hogs) and wrote a best-selling book that is still in high demand "Three Barrels Of Steam". Fought cancer twice. Final battle took his life at Quincy, Plumas, CA at home. Married twice. One daughter Sierra Lee Boynton (Brewi). Ashes scattered in San Francisco Bay.
