Donald Jean Arrowood, 87, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of McDowell County, NC; son of the late Herbert Lester Arrowood (1901–1997) and Lokie Bethe Earley Arrowood (1906–2004); husband of the late Betty Ann Harris Arrowood (1936–2016).

Worked at General Fireproofing, was also in the construction industry, was a lifelong member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, enjoyed photography, carving soapstone, rock and mineral mining, collecting historical artifacts, was a member of Fisher Boys Metal Detecting Club, and was an avid witness for the Lord.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Annette Dalton and Amelia Webb (Thomas); eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Jerleen McEntire (Jesse).

Also preceded in death by his sons, Anthony Lee "Tony" Arrowood (1954-2003) and Alan Gregory Arrowood (1958-2016); and brothers, Justin Durant Arrowood (1929–1936), Bruce James Arrowood (1933–2014), and Infant Arrowood (1938–1938)

Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Mountain Creek Baptist Church; burial in the church cemetery.

The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
