Mrs. Lawrence Conrad, 68, died unexpectedly from a heart attack on the Miami Road northwest of Bremen Thursday evening. She had been in failing health for five months.
Mrs. Conrad was the former Minner Berger, daughter of Henry and Mary (Ringgenberg) Berger. She was born in Kosciusko county Oct. 7, 1888, and was married to Lawrence Conrad Feb. 12, 1913. She had spent most of her life in this community and was a member of Salem Evangelical United Brethren church and its W.S.W.S. and of the Miami Home Demonstration club.
Surviving are her husband; a son Rulo Conrad of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Vance, of Bremen; four sisters, Mrs. Estella Kline and Mrs. Laura Dougherty of Nappanee, Mrs. Rosa Yarian of South Bend, and Mrs. Cora Morrison of Wabash; a brother, Milton Berger of Nappanee; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Salem church, Rev. F. G. Kuebler officiating. Burial was in Bremen cemetery.
