Cavin Hibbs, age 48, of Abbott, passed away early Saturday morning, March 30, 2019 in Temple, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Abbott Baptist Church, with Rev. Stephen Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Abbott Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home.

Cavin was born April 9, 1970 in Austin, the son of James and Judy (Gardner) Hibbs. He was a 1988 graduate of Belton High School. Cavin served his country with the United States Army from 1989 to 1992, including a tour in Germany. Upon his discharge, he received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas.

On October 14, 2006 he was united in marriage to Micha Croford in Aquilla. Cavin was a member of Abbott Baptist Church. He worked as a DJ and manager for Wild West and Graham Central Station, both in Waco, and worked in restaurant management. His passion was music and he enjoyed being a DJ for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children.

Cavin is preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Michael Croford.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Micha Hibbs of Abbott; his children, Bradley Austin and Emily Kaye Hibbs of Abbott; brothers, Keith Hibbs and wife Susannah and Billy Carlock; a sister, Cindy Hibbs; nieces, Brittany Granfor, Kaylie Hudson, and Michaela Timmons; nephews, Caleb Hawkins, Sam Hibbs, and Alex Hibbs; his mother-in-law, Marsha Croford; a sister-in-law, Melesa Timmons; and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Bradley Austin Hibbs, Caleb Hawkins, Ronnie Horn, Keegan Granfor, Philip Carter, and Cub Gardner.
