Ida Hobbs age 89, of Flat Lick passed away Thursday March 28, 2019 at the Barbourville ARH. she was born on April 8, 1929 to the late John and Delia Brown Collins at Flat Lick, KY. She was united in marriage to the late Bert Hobbs in 1951.

She attended Union Mission Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved Fishing, Gardening and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter: Susie Smith, her brothers: Dewey, Bill, J.H. and Ben Collins and her sisters: Julie Brown and Maudie Mills.

Survivors include her sons: Bert Hobbs, Jr. and wife Sandra of Flat Lick, Stoney Hobbs and wife Regina of Girdler, Ricky Edward Hobbs and wife Shirley of Scalf, her daughters: Jeanette Hobbs of Flat Lick, Patricia Mills and husband Bill of Flat Lick, Diamond Mills and husband Cody of Scalf, by her 14 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. she is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Ida Hobbs will be conducted will be 2 PM Tuesday April 2, 2019 at the Union Mission Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Collins and Rev. Derek Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the A.J. Gray Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are staff of the Barbourville ARH, Dr. West and Dr. Woolum. The family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home Sunday from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Monday at Union Mission Baptist Church from 11 AM until the hour of service Tuesday.
