Paul Fields Scales, SR of Sapulpa, OK passed away June 30th, 2020 at his home of Cancer.

Paul was born April 12,1925 in New Orleans, LA. He was adopted by Ewell and Ethel Scales when he was 1 week old. They lived in Mississippi on a dairy farm.

After his father passed away in 1936, the family moved to Hot Springs, AR in 1937. Paul graduated high school in 1942 and joined the Navy for 4 years. After he returned to Hot Springs, AR he started working for A T & T. He met Audrey Grzonka ,of Little Suamico, WI as she was working at a restaurant in Hot Springs. Paul and Audrey then married August 9th, 1947. Paul and Audrey lived in Hot Springs until June of 1951 when he was transferred to Kansas City, MO. to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. In December of 1970, Paul took his last position of his career as a national representative for the Communications Workers of America (CWA) AFL-CIO. He was a member of Local 6324. Paul retired in May of 1987.

Paul and Audrey lived in Overland Park, KS and had 3 children, Kathleen, Paul JR and Tamara.

Audrey passed away of Cancer in November of 1976. After her death, he met and married Alta Hotujac and lived in Overland Park,KS. When Paul retired they moved to the Ozarks then eventually to Oklahoma.

In Paul's lifetime he loved boating, fishing, hunting and rooting for the Kansas City hometown sports.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Ewell Scales, his brothers, Ewell Jr, Lawrence and William and his wife Audrey.

Paul is survived by his wife, Alta, his 3 children, Kathleen (David) McKamey of Worland, WY, Paul JR (LeLola) of Deer Park, WA and Tamara (Marc) McKell of Billings, MT. 5 grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan) Schauble of Worland, WY , Deborah (David) Cumings of Dallas, GA , Christina (Chad) Krull of Bozeman, MT , Jennifer (Jamie) Wagner of Spokane, WA, Sarah (Jim) Schultz of Snowqualmie, WA and 9 great grandchildren, Kaden and Treston Schauble, Braylon and Blakelee Cumings, Abigail and Madelyn Wagner and Claire, Cody and Evelyn Schultz.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at The Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS in the near future where his plot is.

A mass will be held on Saturday July 11th at 5 PM at Saint Patricks Catholic Church at 204 East 4th St in Sand
