Joyce Elizabeth Kite went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2019, having lived a full and eventful life, surrounded at her death by beloved family. Joyce was born May 19, 1929 in Kathio Township, Onamia, Mille Lacs Co, Minnesota to Arthur Rudolph and Sophie Hulda (Schmidt) Vergin. She is survived by children Jeanne (Clifton) Fuller and Kathy (Ronnie) Barcroft, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Maurene "Renee" Shaw (Puyallup, WA) and Luverne "Lovie" Hoover (Sumner, WA), sisters-in-law Mary Kite (Gothenburg, NE) and FayNell Davis (Plano, TX), and many other dear family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Eugene Kite, her son, James Lacy Kite, and four sisters, Evelyn Martin, Gerleen Ritchie, Bernice Lindquist and Genevieve Smith. Joyce's priority was always her faith and her family. She loved her husband of 63 years, enjoying hunting, fishing & traveling with him and their children. She was industrious, loving to cook & experiment with new recipes. She loved creating beauty in her home and found peace in gardening and nature. She joyfully practiced hospitality in her home. Her faith was her strength and anchor. She worshipped with the Bridgewood Church of Christ for over 27+ years. Joyce will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many others whose lives she touched.
