Donna Fay Anderton Murray
September 22, 1930 - March 21, 2019

Donna Fay Anderton Murray, 88, passed away of natural causes at home on March 21, 2019. She was born September 22, 1930 in Henefer, Utah to John Frederick and Cheltina Elizabeth (Jones) Anderton. She graduated from North Summit High. She married Evon Quin Murray on September 1, 1948.

Mom was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held many callings. She faithfully served as Relief Society President, Primary President and Young Women’s President. She enjoyed many years in the ward library and loved serving at the Family History Center, where she made many dear friends. She organized and served many funeral luncheons where she taught her children about true compassionate service.

Her family meant the world to her. Her children always came first, with homemade decorated birthday cakes and fun filled holiday traditions. She was to every game,
concert and school function, cheering us on, even serving as PTA President. She was an amazing seamstress making everything from a simple pair of summer shorts to gorgeous prom dresses. She crocheted dozens of beautiful doilies and made a baby blanket for each of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was an incredible cook, bringing the family together every night with delicious dinners complete with a special dessert on Sundays. She made the best donuts, Christmas sugar cookies and lemon meringue pies. She enjoyed camping with her family and picnicking with close neighbors and friends.

Mom is survived by her children, Josephine (Boyd) Fisher, John (Nancy) Murray, Robert Kent (Teresa) Murray, Bart (Penny) Murray, Yvonne (Chris) Campbell;17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren with 3 great-granddaughters due this summer and one great great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister Kathy
Setterberg. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, a grandson; two sisters and her only brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Heritage Park Ward, 250 N. 1500 W. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 28th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to the service at the church from 10 to 10:40 a.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
