Our precious and beloved mother, grandmother and sister went back peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family in song on November 17, 2012. She lived a long and fulfilling life of 92 years.

She was born to John Fredrick Anderton and Cheltina Elizabeth Jones on April 21, 1920 in Henefer, Utah, the place she called home for her entire life. She enjoyed and loved four siblings, Thelma Hersh, Don, Kathy Setterburg, and Donna Murray. She graduated from North Summit High School in 1938 and on August 26th of the same year married Blaine Moore her high school sweetheart. Their vows were solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple one year later. They enjoyed 60 years together before his passing in 1998 and for most of their married life they worked side by side in the family business, Blaine Moore and Sons Construction Company. They made a perfect team as he labored hard on his equipment while she ran the business end of the company. Mom not only had a keen intellect and business sense, but she was also an amazing homemaker. Her family loved coming to the many wonderful Sunday and holiday dinners. She was a highly skilled seamstress and was the professional seamstress for the Bon Marche Fabrics Department. Her influence in sewing has now been handed down to four generations.

She had a deep and abiding love for her Father in Heaven and served valiantly in numerous callings. She was an amazing leader in many of them, but her favorites were serving in the Ogden LDS Temple as an ordinance worker for 11 years, and serving with her husband in the Birmingham, Alabama mission. At the heart and soul of her life was her family. She was truly an amazing matriarch. She and Blaine successfully raised 5 children Roy (Petey) Moore of Sandy, Sherry (Robert) Jolley of Pleasant View, John (Diane) Moore of Henefer, Rob (Christie) Moore of North Ogden, and Rick (Kristy) Moore of Bountiful, with a posterity of 28 beautiful grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. She had a unique way of making everyone in the entire family feel loved. She was not happy if she was not serving them either with her time or their financial needs. She was truly a humble and selfless individual, always putting others needs before her own. She had an amazing sense of humor that was infectious to all those around her. In her most difficult times in the last few days of her life she still maintained that special attribute.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband Blaine, Sister Thelma, Brother Don, and granddaughter Ambree.

The Moore family would like to express their deepest gratitude for loving care to Encompass Hospice especially Cory and Cheryl, and to a special angel Minda that made it possible for Mom to stay in her home before passing.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 24, 2012 at the Henefer Ward Church. Friends may call Friday November 23, 2012 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Henefer Ward Church, and prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Henefer Cemetery.
