On July 15, 1966, Frank was united in marriage Donna Jean Vollmer at Lexington, and to this union they were blessed with two children: Ross Darl and Jeanna Louise. The family made their home in the Bertrand area where Frank was a self-employed contractor.
Frank was a faithful member of the Westmark Evangelical Free Church, where he served as recording secretary for the Sunday school. He was influential in starting the Awana Program at the church. He spent much time working at the ballfields getting them ready for the summer games.
Family was the most important thing to Frank. He cherished times spent with his grandchildren and attending all their activities. He was their number one fan, with encouraging words for them.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by; a sister, Artie Smith; sister-in-law, Marilyn Klein; brother-in-law, Gary Vollmer; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alfred and Thelma (Grant) Vollmer.
Frank leaves to celebrate his life; his wife of 52 years, Donna Boggs of Bertrand; his two children: Ross Boggs and his wife, Angel of Bertrand; and Jeanna Scharff and her husband, Chad of Lexington; five grandchildren: Dylan, Erin and Myles Boggs of Bertrand; Isaac and Hannah Scharff of Lexington; two sisters: Darla Bye and her husband, Mel of Overton, Nebraska; and Linda Maaske and her husband, Wayne of Bertrand; two brothers-in-law: Irl Smith of Lexington and Tom Klein of Co; sister-in-law: Marsha Samuelson of Bertrand; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
