Mr. Charles Gray, age 69 of Barbourville, Ky. departed this life on Monday, October 22, 2007 in the UK hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was the son of the late Samuel Gray and Mary (Smith) Gray, born to them in Knox co. Ky on March 6, 1938.
Mr. Gray believed in the Baptist faith. He was a retired steelworker for Miami Industries.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ollie Jean Mills, Two brothers Edward Gray and Hubert Gray. Two sisters Ellia LaHulliar and Omie Gray.
Survivors include: His Ex-wife Bobby Hubbard, Two sons, Samuel Gray of Girdler, Ky., and Edger Gray of Jackson Co. Three daughters, Mary Gambill and husband Fred of Lily, Ky., Jackie Church of Gray, Ky.,and Paula Gray of Piqua, Ohio. Brothers Estil Gray and wife Brenda, Owen Gray, Letcher Gray and wife Janice, Ancil Gray and wife Geneva, Virgil Gray and wife Diana, Paul Gray And wife Linda, all of Barbourville, Ky. and Johnny Smith and wife Kim of Barbourville. Sisters Ethel Gray of Barbourville, Ky., Elsie Slusher of Florence, Ky., Della Mason of Greenville, Ind., Tressie Baker of Bowling Green, Ky,. Bernice Gusky and Ola Broughton.
Funeral Services will be in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, On Thursday – October 24, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. With the Rev. Gene Hubbs officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Honorary Pallbearer Johnny Paul Smith. Interment will be at the Gray Cemetery with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
