Neva Fane Dunnington age 97, of Richland, WA passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006.
She was born December 16, 1908 to Charles Beecher and Verna Ethal (Page) Fisher in St. Louis, Missouri. At the age of 2 she and her family moved to Washington in a covered wagon.
She married Elzie Richard Dunnington in Yakima, WA where they made their home. In 1925 they together moved to Mabton, WA and later to Grandview, WA.
In 1967 her husband passed away and Neva continued to make Grandview her home until moving to the Tri-Cities area in 1994.
She enjoyed oil painting, roses, her flower garden and sewing. She was the President of the Grandview Rose Garden Club and active volunteer for the GOP. Neva was a member of the Grandview Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Darwin Dunnington, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchilcren. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Fisher.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Richard Dunnington, one daughter, Delpha Hordyke and numerous brothers and sisters.
Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 3, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, WA.
