Arturo Alarcon , 63, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Art was born April 4, 1955 in Laredo, Texas to parents, Arturo and Gloria Alarcon. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. In 1985 He married his lifetime love, Theresa, and together they raised their three children, Michael, Andrew and Emily. Art had a long, successful career in the petroleum industry, which led him to many different assignments across the world. Most recently, he was working in Midland, Texas for Diamondback Energy as a senior drilling advisor. Art was a loving husband, father and brother, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for the outdoors, music and photography. Art never met a stranger, and touched the lives of many. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Matthew Alan Phillips. Art was survived by his wife; his children, Michael and partner Chelsie Jahansouz; Andrew and wife Manon, daughter, Emily; sisters, Gloria and Sylvia Alarcon; and godmother and aunt, Grace Hastings. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, 18 March, at Smith & Kernke, N May Avenue, chapel.
