Native of Spartanburg; wife of Jimmie Thornton; daughter of the late Dewitt and Lois Irene Tollison Brown.
Member of Calvary Baptist Church; a loving wife, mother and grandmother; grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy; they were her whole world.
Also surviving are daughters, Angela Blackwell (Ricky) of Inman, Melissa Thornton of Spartanburg, Kimberly Black (Brian) of Snowflake, AZ, and Haley Scruggs of Cowpens; sisters, Judy Rollins (Mike) of Spartanburg, Joanne Evans (Larry) of Cowpens, Gayle Erwin of Cowpens, and Amelia Thornton (Horace) of Cowpens; brothers, Ronald Brown (Linda) of TN, David Brown of Spartanburg, and Wayne Brown (Jane) of Spartanburg; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by a son, Wayne Thornton; and a brother, Robert Brown.
