Dorothy Lamusga of Browerville passed away on February 19, 2019. Dorothy was born April 1, 1928 in Browerville to Frank and Edith (Loegering) Borgert. On June 4, 1946, she married Jerome Lamusga at St. Peters Church in Browerville.

Dorothy worked as a telephone operator before her marriage and at the Land O Lakes milk plant while farming with her husband. She liked to sew clothing for her family. She spread her talented wings and started making cakes and artificial flowers for weddings. After Jerome died, she started teaching ceramic classes and did oil painting classes. A few years later, she included porcelain doll classes. During this time, she was on the DAC board for several years and active with the local Girl Scout Club volunteering her time. Dorothy would participate with her crafts at the Little Falls craft show each fall.

She loved playing cards at least 4 days a week and going to the casino. She started quilting after discontinuing the ceramic classes. Dorothy also worked for the Lutheran Brotherhood Association as a senior citizen companion later in life. This required her to go to senior citizens that were living alone and visit them. Dorothy also connected on the internet to play card games and learned how to Skype on the computer to keep in contact with her sister and daughter. She also crocheted necklaces, painted butterflies and a lot of bead bracelets in the past 2 years. Dorothy was especially thrilled at the celebration party of her 90th birthday seeing family and friends.

Among all her activities, Dorothy regarded her family as the most important aspect of her life. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dorothy especially enjoyed family gatherings and fish fry parties at the farm. Dorothy was a compassionate, talented, and feisty lady and will be greatly missed.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerome, Son Richard and siblings: Lucille, Eva, Herbert, Mary and Louise.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Iten Funeral Home in Browerville and one hour prior to church service at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. Mitchell Bechtold officiating. Interment will be at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery.
