Peter Rettler, age 83, died at his home, Monday. He was born March 2,1866, in Alsace-Lorraine, Germany, the son of Mathias and Mary (Michel) Rettler. At the age of 26, as soon as he had completed his service in the German army, he came to the United States to live. For many years his home was on a farm southeast of Harper. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son. He is survived by a son and four daughters. Funeral at St. Elizabeth Catholic church. Burial in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
