Erma Tate Parmentier, 85, of Linthicum, passed away on September 18, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 9, 1928 to the late Atwood and Della Tate. Erma was an active member of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church; she helped out wherever she was needed. She also organized the church greeters and belonged to the Women's Evelyn Keller Circle. Erma volunteered with Meals on Wheels and loved playing tennis and golf, walking, reading, decorating, needle point and sewing, and housekeeping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert J. King, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward H. Parmentier; two daughters, Leslie P. Macey and her husband David and Jane Tate King; six grandchildren, Julie E. Ashburn, Ann M. Houghton, Page E. Menefee, Joshua E. Galante, Sarah K. King and Robert J. King, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Hayley Ashburn, Braden Ashburn, Brynn Houghton, Peyton Menefee and Sophia Harris; and four siblings, Donald Tate, Audrey Striegel, Creston Tate and Atwood Barrett Tate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway; Pasadena, MD 21122.
