Major League Baseball Player. A natice of Ireland, he played in the National Association with The Fort Wayne Kekiongas, New York Mutuals and Keokuk Westerns, and with the White Stockings, New York Mutuals, Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Hoosiers of the National League. Had a lifetime batting average of .287. A heavy drinker, he passed away due to complications from gastritis at the age of 30 in 1879 at his home in Chicago.
