Bessie was born in Marland, Oklahoma to George Washington Levings and Alice Victoria (Skinner) Levings. Bessie lived in Nowata, Oklahoma. She attended First Church of God in Nowata, Oklahoma.
Bessie was a Homemaker and ran her own Childcare business. She was known for making her friendship bread and her sewing skills.
She is survived by her husband Willard C. “Bill” Carey of Nowata, OK; daughter-in law Jan Foster St. Louis, MO; granddaughters Pam Thompson Portland, OR.; Laura Foster Eden Minneapolis, MN.; grandsons Jeffrey Cowan of Portland, OR. and Brian Foster Longmont, CO.. Numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; Siblings Fred Levings Garber, OK and Richard Levings Rush Springs OK; Frank Levings Weatherford, Texas; Louie Levings Marland, OK; Millie Hutton Broken Arrow, OK. and Joann Sorensen Nowata, OK. and Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special nieces Kim Renfroe Nowata, OK; Kelly Robinson Nowata, OK; Ashley Parrett of Nowata, OK; Amanda Renfroe Camp Nowata, OK. Special nephews Orville Thornton, Ponca City, OK; Greg Renfroe Bella Vista, AR.
Proceeded her in death were her father and mother, first husband Raleigh Foster, daughter Patricia (Foster) Cowan, son Darrell Foster; special nephew Butch Vaughan; Two brothers and four sisters.
Bessie was a special lady and will be missed by all that knew her.
