Death of George Reuter
George Reuter, a former citizen of Merced, died in a San Francisco hospital yesterday. So says a dispatch from the Grand Recorder of the AOUW. Mr Reuter came to Merced some thirty years ago and established a barber shop on Front street, which he conducted up to ten years ago. His family consists of a wife and eight children, six of whom reside here. His daughters are Mrs Henry Kessel of Stockton, Misses Josie, Mamie and Lottie Reuter of Merced. His sons are George Reuter of Visalia and Willie, Charley and Isadore Reuter of Merced. The remains will be cremated in San Francisco. The deceased was a member of the Merced Lodge No 74 AOUW and also a member of Merced Lodge No 208 IOOF.
