Services for James Lee McClaran, 96, Community Care of Rutherford County, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20 of heart failure at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Jennings & Ayers Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Dwight Bennison will officiate.

His parents were the late James and Mary Ella Hudson McClaran, and his wife was the late Nannie Patterson McClaran.

He is survived by two sons, James Jr. of Smyrna, and Howard McClaran of Murfreesboro; brother, Ralph McClaran of Unionville; two sisters, Martha Nutting, Lela Powers, both of Murfreesboro; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A member of the Baptist Church and native of Eagleville, he was a retired government employee with the maintenance department at the former Sewart Air Force Base, Smyrna.

Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.
