Nellie E. Yohe
JEFFERSON – Nellie E. (Schuman) Yohe, 60, of 34 Sunset View St., died at 3:40 p.m. Monday at her home, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of George M. Yohe. The couple would have observed the 39th anniversary of their wedding Nov. 15.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yohe was born in Codorus Township. She was a daughter of Curvin B. Schuman of Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village, and of the late Mary A. (Warner) Schuman.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of The Order of the Eastern Star, Berlin, Germany. She belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Pvt. Allen J. Beck Jr. Spring Grove Post 5265 Auxiliary and the American Association of Retired Persons Jefferson Chapter 3699.
Mrs. Yohe also is survived by a son, George M. Yohe Jr. of Glen Rock RD 1; three daughters, Amazette M. Dell of Hanover, Mary-Ellen M. Beck of Seven Valleys RD 2, and Bonne M. Kessler of Spring Grove RD 1; six grandchildren; two sisters, Vinardia M. Bortner of Stewartstown, and Janet A. Weitkamp of Littlestown; and her step-mother, Margaret (Lanius) Schuman of Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Allan S. Wysocki.
