Owego - Carole N. Ainey, 81, of Owego, passed away on December 6, 2018.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Marvin; their children, John (Ann) Ainey, of Weeki Wachee, FL; Eric (Cheryl) Ainey, of Zephyrhills, FL; and Barbara (Joe) Brancoli, of Richmond, VA; grandchildren James Ainey, Robert Thompson, and Christin Kalwarczyk; great grandchildren Grant and Amelia Thompson; brother Gerald Nelson; and sister Suzanne (Vere) Lindquist.
Carole and Marvin loved to travel, and made a point to visit all 50 states! They also took cruises and other trips around the world, and were able to explore most of Europe. One of her favorite destinations was Florida, where she and Marvin have escaped New York winters for the past 28 years. Carole devoted her life to her home and raising her children, and also enjoyed selling Avon on the side. She was a longtime member of the Newark Valley United Church of Christ and DAR.
