Martha Jane Lockhart, age 76, of Montevallo, passed away on December 14,2015. Martha was born and raised in Altoona in Blount County, and graduatedfrom Susan Moore High School. She retired as a billing clerk in the freightline business from Yellow Freight Line and Campbell 66. She was an active
member of Calera Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband,Stanley Lockhart; father, Oather Herbert Jackson; mother, Loise RidgewayJackson; daughter, Sandra Reneau Lockhart; brothers, Oather Hewitt Jacksonand James Malton Jackson; and sister, Mildred Weaver. She is survived by her daughter, Jerrie Rochester (Joel); granddaughter,Jennifer Hays (Matt); grandson,Jonathan Rochester; sister, Mary Ann Laughlin Ed); and severalnieces and nephews. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday,December 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Calera Baptist Church, with visitation tobegin at 10:00AM. Rev. Jason Jarvis will officiate. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery, 96 Ellison Cir., Altoona, AL 35952. In lieuof flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Calera BaptistChurch.
