Mrs. K. Pearse Dies at Age 85

Mrs. Katherine Pearse, 85, of Coalton, died Tuesday, May 15, at 9:30 a.m. at her residence.
Funeral services will be held today, May 17, at 1:30 p.m. in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home where Pastor Robert Copeland will officiate the services. Burial will be in Ohlman Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 8, 1893, in Chicago, a daughter of August and Anna Rosselar. In 1909 she came to Nokomis from Chicago and DuQuoin where she received her education. In February of 1915 she and Alfred Pearse were married in Hillsboro. He died in 1934.
Surviving are her children, Mrs. Louis (Dorothy) Hrabak, Mrs. Pete (Helen) Cesaretti, both of Coalton, Mrs. Albert (Ida) Moskodauz of Dupo; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two children, Alfred in 1954, and Doris in infancy, brothers, John and August, and two sisters, Tillie and Ann. --Nokomis Free Press, May 17, 1979
