KINGSTON, N.Y., May 15. -- Downing Vaux, widely known landscape architect, who laid out Riverside Drive in New York, was instantly killed in a fall from the roof of the Y.M.C.A. Building here early this morning. His body, clad only in his night clothes, was found on the sidewalk by the police.
