Astoreth Mae "Toffie" Ainsworth Smith, ninety years of age, passed away on February 16, 2019 at Lane Regional Medical Center.

She was twice retired from the Louisiana Office of Family Services and the Saint Helena School Board. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took her greatest pleasure in the happiness, growth, and good health of her family. She loved poetry and music and found great joy singing in her church choir.

Toffie is survived by her two daughters, Lyn (Richard) Easley and Liesa (Kirk) Gillis; four grandchildren, Richard Clint Easley, Jennifer Easley (Bradley) Davis, Amber Gillis (Eugene) Graff, and Cassie Gillis; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Sarah Beth Davis, Molly Astoreth Graff, and Marissa Nelli Joy Cisneros; sister-in-law, Elois Smith McNabb; brother-in-law, Harold Ray Smith; and her sweet friend and caregiver, Annette "Cookye" Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Albert Clint Smith; her mother, Cassie Isola Venable Ainsworth; father, A. E. Ainsworth Sr; a sister, Loraine Ainsworth Headrick; and three brothers, George Beverly Ainsworth, A. E. Ainsworth Jr, and William Lewis Ainsworth.
