William Coleman "Bill" Sparkman age 89 of Smithville, passed away Sunday morning, February 17, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville.

He was born January 23, 1930 to his parents, the late Clarence and Lillie Legg Sparkman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Leona Sparkman and 6 brothers, Billy, Bobby, Chip, Ronnie, Ronald and Orval Sparkman. He was a member of Trinity Assembly, U.S. Navy Veteran, a landscaper and owner of Sparkman Nursery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jo Ann Sparkman of Smithville; 2 daughters, Pam (Steve) Turner of Baxter and Penny Chapman of Smithville; 2 granddaughters, Crystal (Jacob) Young ad Kelsey (Corey) Spare; 5 great-grandchildren, Lina, Madyson, Kylie and Coleman Hunter Young and Finley Spare and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jim Moore officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Military honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
