Born March 1, 1926, in Six Mile Run, she was a daughter of the late Clair and Della (Graffious) Baker. She was united in marriage to Mark “Joe” Keagy in the parsonage of the Six Mile Run Church of God by the Rev. Greider. Mr. Keagy preceded her in death.
Mrs. Keagy is survived by two children, Donna Taylor and husband, Raymond, and John Mark Keagy, all of Six Mile Run; a grandson, David Taylor and wife, Corie; and greatgrandchildren, Grant, Gage and Jaclyn.
She is also survived by a sister, Maxine Husick, and many nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom were very dear to her, especially her sister.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Chamberlain, Lillian Snyder, Howard “Boots” Hastings, Emma Kersse, Grace Watkins, Eugene Baker, Alice Baker, Dorothy Baker, Betty Baker and Delbert Baker.
Mrs. Keagy was a member of the Six Mile Run Church of God, which she faithf ully attended until her health began to fail.
She was also a member of the Six Mile Run American Legion Auxiliary for over 30 years.
Mrs. Keagy enjoyed shopping, seek-n-find puzzles, building puzzles and going out to eat.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church St., Saxton, with the Rev. Richard Bair officiating. Interment will be made privately in Keagy Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral chapel.
