He married Miss Mamie Parkhurst on 15 September 1922 at Drumright, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Breckenridge in 1922. He retired from the dry cleaning business and was a member of First United Methodist church of Breckenridge, Breckenridge Masonic Lodge, Tower Bible Class, Breckenridge Golf Club.
Survived by wife; two daughters; eight sisters; two brothers; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
