Virginia Adams Redd, 87 of Alamo, CA, passed away on April 3, 2018 at her home after a long illness.
She was born on September 28, 1930 in Monticello, UT, the youngest daughter of Lloyd Adams and Althea Williams Adams.
Virginia graduated from San Juan High School in 1948. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1952. After school she spent time in the Fashion industry in New York, and taught at San Juan High School.
She married John Wilson “Jack” Redd on November 6, 1954 in Blanding, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married for 56 years.
After starting a family in Monticello, Virginia continued her career working for the San Juan County Health Office and then worked over 20 years with the San Juan County Office of the Farmer’s Home Administration until her retirement.
Virginia is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Tracie Redd of Alamo, CA; grandchildren John Makay and Chase Redd of Alamo, CA; sister, Donna (the late Clem E.) Washburn of Monticello, UT; and sisters-in-laws, Kathleen (the late Robert B.) Fox of Bountiful, UT, Cherry (the late Daniel) Circelli of Washington, UT, and Maris (Kenneth) Bischoff of Ogden, UT.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Allie Adams; her sister, Paula (Curtis) Jones; her husband, Jack; and her son, William Makay “Bill” Redd.
