Mr. Horace Greeley Perry, 82, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019.

Mr. Perry was born January 1, 1937 to Hammond and Mamie Perry in Durham, NC. He was an avid woodworker, loved gardening and working in his yard. Mr. Perry loved God and his church, Durham Memorial Baptist Church. He loved to serve others. Mr. Perry proudly served his country for six years in the United States Army.

Mr. Perry is preceded in death by his parents, Hammond and Mamie Perry; his wife, Sondria Perry; brothers, Edward Perry, Tom Perry, and Willie Perry; sisters, Dora Crabtree, Annie Marie Perry, and Peggy Elliott.

Mr. Perry is survived by his son, Richard Perry (Kayla) of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Kimberly Perry of Creedmoor, NC; brothers, Ralph Perry (Carol) of Durham, NC, Felton Perry (Brenda) of Durham, NC; sisters, Shirley Byrd of Durham, NC, Janet Stewart of Durham, NC, Edith Daniels of Oxford, NC, Alma Pope (Larry) of Rougemont, NC; grandchildren, Ray Perry, Vaughan Perry, and Kaylee Perry; and his special sweetheart, Margaret Ray.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Durham Memorial Baptist Church, 133 Robbins Rd, Durham, NC 27703.

A funeral service will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Durham Memorial Baptist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Ed Denton. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Durham Memorial Baptist Church Memorial Fund at 133 Robbins Rd, Durham, NC 27703.
