He served our country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a retired truck driver for Teamsters 654. He was a dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather, and loved spending time with each one.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Kay Randall; a sister, Grace Tyree; a brother, Robert Wright; grandchildren, Russell (Sheli) Randall, Jr., Robin (Lee) Morris, Lorie Pettit, and Todd Wright; great-grandchildren, Kylee (Jeremy) Perry; Kassidy Randall; and Knox, Aubrey, Edie, and Lucie Morris; great-great-grandchild, Avery Perry.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth G. Wright, Jr.; a sisters, Mary Ehrman, Phyllis Schalf, and Carolyn Leath; brothers, Bill, John, Dan, and Jim Wright; and a special son-in-law, Russell Randall, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield. Graveside services will follow at Grape Grove Cemetery.
