Curtis Allison, age 74, of Webster, peacefully moved into Heaven on Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Gertrude Woods Allison and the son of the late Frank and Jessie Warren Allison.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Curtis dearly loved his Lord and his church. He was a former business owner and truck driver. He enjoyed many hours on horseback in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and driving his mule teams all over the southeastern United States. Curtis dearly loved his family and friends and cherished his time with them.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 53 years; Gertrude Allison, one daughter; Cindy (Bill) Thompson and one son; Darin (Melissa) Allison. Four grandchildren, a light in his life, survive; Sara, Tara, Mason and John as well as Mason's mother; Amber Davis. Three brothers; Doyle, Marvin and Donald Allison and one sister; Pat Blanton also survive as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church with Revs. Ernie Jamison, Mike Moore and Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Appalachian Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. The family will take time to rest and the visitation will resume at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Jeff and Luke Stillwell, Dwayne Franks, John Ayers, Ronnie DeHart, Tim Crowe, Matthew and Michael Moore will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Jones, Bob Anders, Charles Fisher, Jimmy "Weasel" Green, Terry Dillard, Dewayne Messer, Earl Haddock, Greyson Hayes, Marion Jones, Sam Cogdill, Matt Stillwell and James McMahan.
