Rubye Stidham King, 90, passed away on Friday (February 1, 2019) at Ballad Lonesome Pine Hospital, with her granddaughter, Celeste, by her side.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” King; a daughter, Sherry King; a son, Robbie King; her parents, Hobert and Dorothy (Albright) Stidham; and sisters, Marie Roberts, Jean Stipes and Betty Bloomer.
Surviving are her daughter, Connie Cabasa (Gene) of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Celeste Morrison (John), Jason Tullius (Kat), Yolanda King, Greg King and Nathan King; several great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 16, 2019) at her home, 1208 1st Ave, E. in Big Stone Gap with the Rev. Ronnie Mutter officiating. A reception will be at the home at 4 p.m.
