The whole community was shocked last Friday morning by the report that Miss Blanche Rowe, daughter of Wm Rowe and wife had departed this life. Her illness was only of a week’s duration brought on by severe cold and grippe. Her condition was considered dangerous from the first and the end came peacefully at 6:00 o’clock Friday morning. Blanche was in the 17th year of her age was just coming into what she promised to be a most beautiful young woman. She was born near Scranton and lived here all her life. The funeral took place from the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. Raymond, in the presence of a large number of sorrowful friends. Her casket was covered with flowers, token of the high esteem in which she was held by her young friends. He body was placed in the Scranton cemetery to await the day when God will call the families of earth to Himself. Mr. and Mrs. Rowe have the sympathy of all, in this sad hour. 6 Feb 1913
