Grady Harris Ballard, 79, of Altoona route two, passed away December 23 in the local hospital. A native Blount Countian, Mr. Ballard was a brick mason and a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church. His parents wee the late Harris and Hettie Jackson Ballard. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Eunice Ballard; a son Joel of Altoona route two; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Jeff Painter of Altoona route two, Joseph Painter of East Gadsden; one sister, Miss Susie Painter of Altoona route two. Rev. O. D. Eddleman, Rev. John Mostello, and Rev. H. E. McDowell officiated at last rites held Christmas Day at tow o'clock from Ebenezer Methodist Church. ....Southern Democrat, Oneonta, AL
