Mrs. Stewart was a native of Alabama and a resident of Santa Cruz for 24 years. She leaves her husband, Charles V. Stewart, head of the carpentry class of the high school; three sons, Robert Stewart of Detroit and Vernon and Mervin of Santa Cruz; her mother, Mrs. Molly Maddux of Los Angeles; four brothers, Fred Maddux, Cecil Maddux and Edward Maddux of Los Angeles, and J. L. Maddux, president of the Maddux airlines of Los Angeles and New York; and three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Faul and Mrs. L. Stoffers of Watsonville and Mrs. E. Russell of Modesto.
