James Bradfield Abbott was born April 20, 1879, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Abbott, on a farm near Denton where he spent his entire life. He married Margarette Bartels, Sept. 8, 1908 and is survived by his widow; a brother, W. J. Abbott, Berkeley, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Garrett, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Ruth Wigg, Lincoln, and Mrs. Lottie Giles, Denton, Neb. He died at his home July 13.

Episcopal services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. H. Gosnell. Burial was in the family cemetery on the home farm.
