Ferrel Lavon Beckstead Parry, mom,grandma,sister and friend, died at 89 on April 25,2004.
She was born July 6, 1914 to Harold and Lilly Mabel Severson Beckstead in West Jordan, Utah. She married Benjamin A. Parry on September 10, 1934, in Riverton, Utah. Ferrel was a member of the LDS Church and sang in the ward choir. She was a member and a server for the Midvale Senior Citizen Center for the last 18 years. She loved dancing, fishing, and traveling. She and her husband were very well known for the Christmas trees they sold every year in Bluffdale. Most of all she was proud of her family and loved her children and grandchildren very much.
Survivors: son Blaine "Mish" (Nancy) Parry, West Jordan; ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Howard B. Beckstead, Woodruff, Utah, Kent Beckstead, St. George, Utah; sisters Jean Vanderpool, Henderson, Nevada; LuAnn Sharp and Rea Boatright, Mesquite, Nevada. Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Gayle; son, Boyd; grandson, Jake; sisters June and Ruth; brothers Alyn,Harold and Bob.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. In the Bluffdale LDS Ward Chapel, 14400 South 1700 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, Friday, April 30, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
