Bluffdale - Benjamin A. Parry, 67, 14117 South 1700 West died Dec. 1, 1977 at a local hospital of natural causes.
Born Sept. 30, 1910, Bluffdale, Utah, to William L and Thora Andersen Parry. Married Ferrel Beckstead on Sept. 10, 1934, Riverton, Utah. Member, LDS Church. Organized and supervised a young Boys Club. Worked for the Utah State Road Department for 25 years; foreman of the truck shop; retired in 1973. Church basketball coach. Started and organized the first Town Days in Bluffdale. Served in superintendency of MIA.
Survivors: wife, Bluffdale; sons and daughter, Mrs Matt (Gayle) Yengich, Midvale; Blaine, Axtell, Utah; Boyd, Bluffdale; 10 grandchildren; brothers, sisters Forrest, Riverton; Neils, Bluffdale; Mrs Olive Neilsen, Bluffdale; Laura Larson, Bertha Hamilton, both Salt Lake City.
Funeral Services Monday, 1 p.m., Bluffdale LDS Chapel. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Monday prior to services. Interment, Bluffdale Cemetery.
