Carl T. “Tom” Brandenburg, 95, of Castine, OH, went to heaven to be the Lord and his beloved wife on Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2019. Born August 23, 1923 in Camden, OH, he was one of 9 children born to the late Edward G. And Carrie (Wood) Brandenburg. A US Navy veteran of WW II, Tom served on troop transport vessels USS Monticello and USS Europa in both the Atlantic and Pacific. Tom had worked as a truck driver beginning in 1956 and retiring after 42 years. He was a 57 year member of the Eaton First Church of God and had served 3 years as Interim Pastor at the Hollansburg Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on January 6, 2019 by beloved wife Mary J. (Dildine) Brandenburg, whom he married January 9, 1946; brothers and sisters William Howard Brandenburg, Mary B. Grau, Forrest Lee Brandenburg, Hazel Jamison, Nina Maxine Lawrence, Edith Mae Gabbard, Helen Jean Walton and Alice Cockran.

Survived by children Thomas Ray Soper and wife Jacqueline of Greenville, OH, Sharyl Falldorf and husband Terry of Lewisburg, OH, Rebecca Hunt and husband Rick of Greenville and David Brandenburg and wife Suellen of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Eaton First Church of God - 601 E. Lexington Rd., Eaton, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastors Jonathan Grubbs and Jerry Reynolds presiding. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
