Elizabeth Ann Edgington
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our amazing mother, Elizabeth Ann Edgington (nee Roulet), born August 8, 1926, to Edna B. Roulet and Lloyd E. Roulet of Toledo, Ohio. Liz was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Maurice J. Edgington, Jr. (2013). She is survived by their daughters JoLynn Saunders (Elliot) and Susan Johnson (Craig, deceased). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Andrea Landers (Neal), Jennifer Smith (Tom), Laura Cloud (Steve), Jason Saunders (Kristen), Jodi McMaster (Jason) and Katie Beth Johnson. Her eleven great grandchildren will miss visiting and enjoying her practical jokes.
Liz's education began at Longfellow Elementary School then progressed to DeVilbiss High School where she was a Class Officer and a member of the Student Council. As a member of the Rainbow Girls, she was a participant on the Drill Team. Attending Bowling Green State University, where she majored in Health and Physical Education, Liz belonged to Delta Gamma Sorority, and represented BGSU on the Bowling Team, Intramurals, the PE Club, the Swan Club (Synchronized Swimming) and was a member of the Cap and Gown.
Liz taught Health and Physical Education at Woodward High School for more than thirty years. She gave generously of herself to the community volunteering at the YWCA teaching trampoline and yoga. She and her husband belonged to Toledo Ski Club and traveled the world downhill skiing. Liz was additionally a member of Conn-Wiesenberger Ladies Auxiliary.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ohio Living Hospice, 1730 South Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614, would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the kind staff at Kingston Residence. Interment will take place, along with her husband of 65 years, in Arlington National Cemetery.
