ROCKY MOUNT - Helen Pridgen Weaver, age 87, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019.

Born in Edgecombe County, NC on November 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Talmadge Pridgen and Ella Brake Pridgen. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Weaver Perry; son-in-law, Bill Stanley; brothers, William "Billy" Talmadge Pridgen, Jr., Bennett Pridgen, and Jerry Pridgen; and sister, Melba Pridgen Carlisle.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 62 years, Rev. Paul Weaver; and daughters, Paula Weaver Stanley of Beaufort, and Jamie Weaver Lilley and husband, Victor, of Jamesville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Blake Perry and wife, Megan, Ashley Reason and husband, Danny, Paul Stanley and wife, Brianna, Kara Parker and husband, Barry, Paige Lilley, and Will Stanley; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Elton Pridgen; sisters, Ruth Pridgen Daniels, and Arlene Pridgen Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor C. J. Caudle officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mill Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
